Barbican

Angles, concrete, art, architecture and a true depiction of man vs nature circa 1970 - the Barbican estate has been a place I’ve longed to visit for quite a while now.

I took the tube to Barbican station, and started my mini urban mecca-sploration to this brutalist showpiece and ended up strolling round the Barbican Centre and enjoyed a cocktail in the sun for a mid-visit break.

I’m not sure what I was expecting: an art centre, a block of flats - but, no - I was presented with a quiet space in London, complete with a strange sense of calm in and amongst the homes, community spaces and art centre.

All photos shot with my iPhone.
